A Legacy on Tims Ford Lake
Tims Ford Marina has been a staple of the Tims Ford Lake community since its founding in 1989. Nestled on a scenic stretch of shoreline along the Anderson Branch, adjacent to Tims Ford State Park, the marina was developed with the goal of creating a welcoming destination for boaters and lake enthusiasts. Within just a few years, the property expanded to include rental cabins, an RV park, and a full-service marina.
The marina’s creation followed the formation of Tims Ford Lake in 1970, when the Tennessee Valley Authority constructed the Tims Ford Dam on the Elk River. Spanning over 10,700 acres with more than 250 miles of shoreline, the lake quickly became known for its crystal-clear waters and outstanding recreational opportunities.
Today, Tims Ford Marina remains one of the most established and trusted marinas on the lake, serving as a hub for adventure, community, and unforgettable lake experiences.
